Then that would indicate the steering column. If the wipers worked when you flashed your hi-beams Where the headlight circuits and the wiper circuits Join by accident. The place that the wires from the headlights and the wipers meet, appears to be the steering column or behind the fuse panel. When the lights are out the wipers work at 3 speeds,ģ speed's? wipers have intermittant, low, and high. That are on with Key out it is the parking lights normally? If your headlilghts are on with the key out then there is a whole other issue. So you are saying that key out, parking lights on, the wipers come on? Crucial, it isn't the headlights ![]() If the car is off the key is out and i turn on the lights the wipers work The wipers work at one speed if i have the headlights onĪnd if you turn on the wipers at any of the speeds one at a time, are any of the side marker lights on? ![]() You didn't say that it was doing this when you bought it, or after you installed a new head unit? You didn't say that if the key is out, when you turn on the headlight switch the wipers start up? You didn't say that your wipers worked when you turned on the head lights but the washer doesn't? ![]() You didn't say that your wipers worked normally? You didn't say that if you turn your wipers on the headlights work? The first line of defense is to check all the fuses, and grounds. I would have to believe that something is back feeding 12V to your wiper motor. By eliminating the easy stuff first can we delve deeper in to what they have in common besides being on your car. We are here to assist you, not magically fix it by osmosis. and not that you have checked out anything. Have you verified that the ground for the wiper motor is at the connection to the motor for the wiper? Have you reseated all the relays one at a time? Have you pulled all the fuses one at a time and used a meter to see if they are opened, an eyeball won't work. When you inspect the hoses, give them a squeeze, if they feel hard or appear perished they should be replaced.Wanting the simple answer, and what have you done are two different issues. If your hoses/radiator or water pump has not been changed recently, this can be a great bit of low-cost preventative maintenance to carry out.
